The significance of wire and cable smoke density test

---Part 2: Test procedures and requirements. The purpose of this part is to establish test procedures and recommended conformity requirements for the determination of smoke density of cables or optical fibre cables burning under specified conditions.
IEC 6134 is published in two parts, which together define a method for the determination of the smoke density of cables or fibre optic cables burning under specified conditions. Users of this test method should be aware that the number of specimens and bundles of cables or fibre optic cables tested may not be representative of the actual installation.
